Today we’re proud to release a very special collab graphic that brings things full circle. This new artwork features the Wave Warriors surfing alongside an island-inspired girl, bursting with color, fun, and that signature Thrilla style.

But what makes this drop truly unique is the story behind it:

Back in the ’80s, Dwight was managing the Art Department of a screen-printing company when a young artist fresh out of school—Steve Nazar—answered a job ad. Dwight immediately recognized Steve’s raw talent, ambition, and sense of humor, and hired him on the spot.

At the same time, Tak Kawahara had a new idea brewing: animated surf characters. With Dwight’s endorsement and support, Steve took Tak’s vision and, with his unmatched animated art style, brought the Thrilla Krew to life.

This collab pays tribute to that connection and history—linking the roots of Thrilla Krew with a brand-new piece of art that pushes things forward.
